How DS Medals came about
DS Medals is a small, familyowned business founded in 2024 by Dan Simpson. What began as a simple personal project—mounting his own medals to save money—quickly grew into something much more meaningful.
Having experience in the defence and emergency services space, Dan understands the importance, history, and emotion carried in every medal. His early work, driven by a desire to honour that significance, soon caught the attention of colleagues and friends. Word spread, and what started as a hobby evolved into a trusted service built on precision craftsmanship, attention to detail, and genuine care.
Guided by the motto “honouring service with precision,” DS Medals remains committed to treating every medal with the respect it deserves. Each piece is crafted with the same dedication that inspired the business from the beginning, ensuring your service, achievements, and memories are displayed with dignity and excellence.

DS Medals supports local officers & their families
DS Medals supports Western Australia Police Legacy, contributing 5–10% of each sale to assist the families of serving and former officers.
WA Police Legacy is a charitable organisation formed in 1992 to assist with the welfare of Police Officers’ families to ensure they are not in want of assistance and support when they lose a loved one. This includes retired and serving officers. They also assist former officers that were medically retired.
